In a marsupial world, it would be simply that much harder for such tactics to succeed. Honestly, if a guardian simply turned hiis back for two seconds the deed could be done. In my opinion there would actually be less oppression of women because they would biologically have so much more reproductive freedom. <br/><br/>Additionally, one hopes that in the marsupial world there would still be civilization to the point that women would have at least the rights that they have today in some countries (but nowhere near enough). Maybe husbands would subject women to round-the-clock surveillance to defend the fetus, or some other intrusive tradition to prevent the abortion.
